UNSUNG HERO OF INDIAN FREEDOM STRUGGLE
In today’s fast paced world and tough competitive daily life, youth hardly get time to remember their rich heritage and past. This becomes most important when the nation is celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence). The fight against colonial rule in India is a unique story. Rather a story that is full of different stories of valour, satyagraha, dedication and sacrifice in this vast subcontinent. These stories form the rich Indian cultural heritage and traditions. Thus, there is no need to define unsung heroes as lesser-known freedom fighters. They can sometimes be leaders whose ideals characterize the Indian value system.
The section on Unknown Heroes is an attempt to remember the forgotten heroes of our freedom struggle, many of whom may be famous to the new generation, but they are unknown. The purpose of re-exposing and bringing out the stories lying in the form of faded memories of the past will serve as a medium of inspiration and encouragement for the generations to come. The spirit of India is incomplete unless we involve our unsung heroes in this journey of growth and development. His policies and principles should be remembered and respected.
